The top woodland path will be closed for the next few days due to it being completely blocked by a huge fallen tree which came down in last night's gale. Please use the alternative path through the hay meadow.
A Tribute to the work of our wonderful Farmers- seen at Monyash Well Dressing. The detail was created using petals, leaves, small succulents, pebbles, wool and other natural materials. The aim being to highlight the financial hardship affecting many small farmers at the moment
Criminal Damage to the perimeter cattle fence at the Plot. This morning some of the cattle got out onto the Mount Industrial Estate, on examination of the fence it was found that the wire had been deliberatley cut in two places. This mindless vandalism could have had serious consequencest had we not swiftly got the cattle safely back onto the Plot . The Police have been informed and we ask anyone amongst our many Plot users to report any suspicious activity directly to the Police.
The Trustees of Stone Common PlotAnnual General Meeting Wednesday 15th May 2024 at 7.30pmStone Council Chamber, 15 Station Rd(entry via the back door to the building )Residents of Stone, Oulton, Meaford and the immediate environs are warmly invited to the Annual General Meeting. This is where the Chair and Treasurer report on the past year’s work, present the financial statements, and raise for discussion upcoming issues affecting the upkeep and wellbeing of the Common Plot. Trustee elections will also take place. This year there are 7 Trustee vacancies to be filled. The Trustees meet at least four times per year and are responsible for managing the annual programme of financing and maintaining the Plot. Elected Trustees serve a 3-year term of office. Anyone wishing to stand for election as a Trustee are welcome attend the meeting. Every candidate for the office of Trustee must be proposed and seconded by a local resident of Stone, Oulton, Meaford or the immediate environs. Elections will then take place at the meeting.
